Shilpi Mayank Awasthi is the founder of, a platform dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities. She is a visionary entrepreneur who saw a need in the market and decided to do something about it.

Born and raised in India, Shilpi developed a passion for helping others at a very young age as she had an elder sibling who is visually impaired and she was one of the primary caregivers to him. She witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by people with disabilities and was inspired to take action. After completing her Post grad education in Microbiology and gaining valuable experience in the corporate sector and as a freelance writer, Shilpi took a sabbatical from her work and chose to follow her passion of recreational sports mainly lawn tennis, badminton and running marathons.

Shilpi is Autistic (late diagnosed) and a mother to a 6 year old on Spectrum( PDA profile) and she founded in 2022 during her journey of being a special needs parent.

The idea behind was to create a platform where people with disabilities can connect with each other, find resources, and learn about new products and services that can help improve their quality of life. Shilpi saw that there was a gap in the market for a platform like this, and she set out to fill it.

Since its launch, has been a huge success with around 10 programs running successfully under SpecialSaathi initiative currently. It has become a go-to resource for individuals with disabilities and their families, providing them with a community of support and a wealth of information. Under Shilpi’s leadership, the platform has grown quickly and now has a large and active user base.

Shilpi’s success with is a testament to her hard work, determination, and passion for helping others. She has dedicated herself to improving the lives of individuals with disabilities and has made a huge impact in the process. She continues to work tirelessly to expand the reach of and to help more and more people with disabilities lead fulfilling and independent lives.
