I am a neurodivergent adult. My unique path has included a variety of experiences. Bharatanatyam has played a pivotal role in my life. I grew up in the USA but wanted to do my Bharatanatyam arangetram performance in India.
My Bharatanatyam arangetram was an exciting event in my life. I wanted to do my arangetram since I started learning this dance form in 2012. Finally, I did my arangetram in 2020 in Rajaratnam Pillai Hall in Chennai.
While I was preparing for my arangetram, I studied for my Diploma in Medical Records and Hospital Documentation. In 2020, I started learning coding with HashHackCode and started studying for my BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration).
Dr. Ambika Kameshar, Founder of RASA (Ramana Sunritya Aalaya) was the chief guest at my Bharatanatyam arangetram. I started learning storytelling and drama from RASA. I participated in RASA Day 2022 theater production in August.
Recently, I started my 100 Days of Memory Shares project. I want to share different experiences and their short-term and long-term impact on my life.
• 1. To practice writing daily.
• 2. To practice coding daily.
• 3. To share my experiences in LIFESMART groups and the SpecialSaathi blog to encourage other neurodivergent individuals to express themselves and be part of conversations on diversity, inclusion, and learning.
