SwasthyaSaathi

Specialsaathi is extremely glad to announce SwasthyaSaathi awareness program.

Purpose -The main aim of our initiative SwasthyaSaathi is the development of an awareness program focusing on disability issues for Primary Health Care Practitioners (PHCP). Our objective is to offer PHCP the opportunity to improve knowledge on particular needs of disabled persons (autism and related disabilities, visual, hearing, mobility etc) and to enhance the practitioners’ skills and expertise focusing on the specific needs of each disability.

Context – There is a lack of attention on PHCP training in caring of patients with disabilities. Within this context, the creation of an awareness program for PHCP is an important effort to overcome discriminations faced by disabled persons. The created program SwasthyaSaathi is part of Specialsaathi ongoing initiatives.
There is a paucity of literature on knowledge, attitudes, behaviour and education of healthcare professionals concerning disability issues in India.

Discussion on different perspectives of PHCP and parents of people with disabilities, regarding access to primary health care and early diagnosis of various disabilities shall be carried out by our esteemed guests speaker coming forward for this cause via online webinar hosted by our organization SpecialSaathi.

The first SwasthyaSaathi program is scheduled on Saturday 11th February’s 3pm IST.The duration for the webinar will be approximately 90 minutes including the questions and answers session. It is conducted for the Noble heart Superspeciality Hospital.
