Empowering Lives: AwarenessSaathi Initiative event

In the spirit of Vijayadashmi and Navratri, a special event aimed at celebrating true inclusion, abilities and supporting the underprivileged sections of our society, took place in Srinivaspuri, New Delhi, on 22nd of October’23.

This heartwarming event was organized by SpecialSaathi in collaboration with Maqaam Foundation. The event, under the banner of AwarenessSaathi initiative was a remarkable effort to make a difference in the lives of those who need it the most.

Key Highlights of the event

1. AwarenessSaathi Art Workshop:
A significant aspect of the event was the AwarenessSaathi Art workshop conducted by the renowned artist, Niyaz Hussain. The workshop was a creative and engaging way to convey a powerful message about disability. What made it even more special was the full participation of the slum kids of Srinivaspuri. 2. Awareness Program:
Shilpi Mayank Awasthi Founder-SpecialSaathi led the awareness program during the event. Her speech addressing the issues of the marginal section of our society played a pivotal role in shaping and driving the initiative.

3. Refreshments and Study Kits distribution:
Niyaz Hussain, the Founder of Maqaam Foundation, alongwith his dedicated team of volunteers distributed refreshments and study kits to the slum kids. This gesture was not just about providing material support but also about nurturing their aspirations and educational journey.

4. Prize Distribution:
As a small token of appreciation for the efforts and participation of the children participated in the art workshop, prize distribution was carried out by the Maqaam Foundation Founder Niyaz Hussain. This moment of recognition highlighted the significance of their engagement and achievements.
